Advisory Board

Kevin Bachman- Advisory Board Member: Kevin Bachman received his Bachelor of Arts in Dance from SUNY Purchase. He has performed in both the concert and commercial worlds. In 2012 he completed his Yoga Teacher Certification at Yoga People, Brooklyn and teaches at NuYu Revolution.  He is currently employed by the Design Division of OshKosh B’Gosh/Carter’s. Mr.Bachman is a fervent advocate of ITE’s vision and inevitable impact.

Joe Celej- Advisory Board Member: Joe is a New York based artist. Originally from Buffalo, NY, Mr. Celej holds a BFA in dance performance from SUNY at Buffalo. His concert credits include Priscilla Nathan-Murphy, Nina Buisson Contemporary Move, The Houston Metropolitan Dance Company, and currently tours internationally with Elisa Monte Dance, based in NYC. Commercial/Industrial credits include Levi Strauss and Company, Wal-mart, and the city of Houston. Mr. Celej’s choreographic experience includes the creation of six original works for the Houston Met as its Resident Choreographer, the Pink Ribbons Project, the Big Range Dance

Festival, Zodiaque Dance Company (resident company of SUNY at Buffalo), and has presented his own work at the Dance Harlem festival and independently at The Tank in downtown Manhattan. Joe continues his relationship with the Houston Met as a guest choreographer/teacher and member of their advisory board. As a part of the Elisa Monte Dance Choreographic Initiative, Joe has collaborated on Monte’s work Zydeco Zare, andpresented his own piece, Pockettangle, in the company’s recent 2010 New York season. Mr. Celej is a recipient of the Zodiaque 35th Distinguished Alumni Award from SUNY at Buffalo as well as being selected to receive a 2010 Presidential Scholar Teacher Recognition Award.

Jesse Crowder- Advisory Board Member: Earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Cinema/Television from USC in 2002, with a minor in Interactive Multimedia. In 2004 Mr. Crowder had the chance to be the first employee of a startup digitization company, Digital Pickle, of which he became the Chief Technical Officer, before the business sold in 2006. Mr. Crowder started DiJiFi in 2007, and we are enjoying our busiest year to date!

Kyla Ernst-Alper – Advisory Board Member: Kyla Ernst-Alper was raised in a Vermont community full of artists.  At the age of 16 she moved to New York City to dance for Eliot Feld’s Ballet Tech where she worked full-time while finishing high school.  After graduating as valedictorian of her high school class Kyla continued dancing – she has since worked with C. Eule Dance, Elisa Monte Dance, Battery Dance Company, Sensedance, Williams Works, Kenny Larson, Abel Costa, and Dzul Dance.  Kyla took a few courses at Hunter College, but has not found time or need to study towards a degree.  After falling into a career working on independent film sets and producing corporate marketing videos, Kyla landed at Spin The Bottle, an advertising-supported entertainment network and television production company.  Kyla is now a producer and editor at Spin The Bottle, where she has worked on shows for The Travel Channel, Animal Planet, Verizon FiOS in addition to web videos.  In collaboration with Abel Costa, Kyla began experimenting with dance on video in the early aughts, and continues to do so today.  While on a much needed (and very brief) break from danceKyla began studying Shao-Lin Kung Fu, which is now an integral part of her life.  She continues to perform and has started studying aerial and contortion.  Kyla developed an appetite for travel while touring with dance companies and delights in finding art in unexpected places.

Lauren Isom – Advisory Board Member:  is a New York transplant by way of Huber Heights, OH. Lauren has 20+ years of dance/theater experience as a performer, choreographer and artistic curator. She is a graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, IL where her performance credits include, Danceworks, Cabaret, Waa-MU, and the student-produced and directed Graffiti Dancers. A votary of the performing arts, Lauren is excited to serve in her first season as an ITE Advisory Board member.

Dan Ozminkowski- Advisory Board Member: Dan is a lighting designer whose work has been seen across the country. Recent designs include Smokey Joe’s Café (Arena Stage); Treasure Island, A New Musical (Arkansas Rep); Let Me Down Easy (Wexner Center, Philadelphia Theatre Company, San Diego Rep and Berkeley Rep); Spirit of Uganda (2010, 2012, 2014; North American Tours); Merry Go Round Playhouse (Six musicals); and Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre (Resident Designer, 4 seasons). Dan was nominated for the Barrymore PECO Award for Outstanding Lighting Design in 2011. He is a member of the United Scenic Artists Local 829, and has a BFA from Purchase College.

Gina Graham- Advisory Board Member: Graham is a dancer and choreographer based in New York City and the Artistic Director of the dance company, Esse Aficionado. In addition to self-producing shows at venues such as the Joyce SoHo and City Center Studios, her work has been presented by Movement Research at Judson Church, Dixon Place, Green Space, DUMBO Dance Festival, inception to exhibition (ITE) Festival, and Velocity Dance Center’s Next Festival in Seattle. Her co-choreographed works have premiered in Seattle at the Northwest New Works Festival, On the Boards Festival and MiKiJio Arts. Graham graduated with a BFA in Dance Composition from Purchase Conservatory. She also explores new concepts and ideas through her collage work, which has been exhibited in New York City and Seattle.

Haejin Han- Advisory Board Member: Haejin is a stage manager and a lighting designer. She holds an MFA in Theatre from Brooklyn College. She was an assistant production manager in the “Brigadoon”show on Broadway; she also was a translator and an assistant technical director for the “Hero” at the Lincoln Center, David H. Koch Theater. Also she stage managed at the BAM Harvey Theater for the 2013 Next Wave Festival“Sweet Science Suite”. She also received the outstanding stage manager award at the New York Innovative Theater awards, 2014. Her lighting design credits are “Anna Christie””Flyin’ West”, “Gi60” “Violet Hour” “Bound” “The Light” “Missing Person” “MoM a Rock Concert Musical”. She worked with many dance companies; “Elisa Monte” “Gabriel Roth” “Nimbus Dance Works” “Gloria McLean” “ITE Festival” “277 Dance Project”. She is touring with “Burq off” production as stage manager/Lighting Designer in LA, SF, and UK. Currently, she is working at the TheaterLab as technical director and at the John Jay College as a production manager.

Kaley Pruitt- Advisory Board Member: Kaley is originally from Ketchum, Idaho. Kaley is a professional freelance dancer, choreographer, as well as the Artistic Director of Kaley Pruitt Dance.  She received her training at Idyllwild Arts Academy, The Boston Conservatory, and Florida State University. She graduated from FSU with a BFA in Dance and was a member of Dance Repertory Theatre. She has been working in New York City since 2011. Alongside of Kaley Pruitt Dance, she also currently performs with Leanne Schmidt & Company, The Treehouse Shakers, and Megan Sipe. She’s also had the opportunity to perform works by Jose Limon, Steve Koester, Gerri Houlihan, Lynda Davis, Roger Bellman, Anne Krampen, Shelley Bourgeosis, & Jackie O’Toole. Kaley has been on the modern faculty at Steffi Nossen School of Dance, and taught with the Limon for Kids program.  Kaley is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson with Bohemia Realty Group working in rentals and sales. She served on Dance/NYC’s Junior Committee, and is delighted to be a part of Inception to Exhibition.

Leta Tremblay- Advisory Board Member: Leta is a director and producer in New York City. Recent NYC directing credits include: Mrs. Mayfield’s Fifth Grade Class of ’93 20-Year Reunion (An immersive site-specific production with Caps Lock Theatre), DIANA OH IS GOING ROGUE, the solo show (terraNOVA Collective), Cause of Failure (FullStop Collective, FringeNYC 2012), and OTHELLO (The Secret Theatre). Upcoming: The Belief Project (FullStop.LAB devised theater initiative with residencies at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center and the Dragon’s Egg). Graduate of Smith College and The Eugene O’Neill National Theatre Institute. Producing Artistic Director of FullStop Collective and Caps Lock Theatre.

Elizabeth Smith – Advisory Board Member: Elizabeth is an emerging soprano based in New York City. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, her opera credits include Mařenka (The Bartered Bride), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), and Fiordiligi (Cosi fan Tutte). As accomplished concert and choral perfomer, Elizabeth sings with groups such as the Collegiate Chorale and the New York Virtuoso Singers, with solo work in Song of Norway, Yotam Haber’s I Am, and David Lang’sBattle Hymns. Other concert work includes Orff’s Carmina Burana, Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis,  and Stephen Albert’s Flower of the Mountain.

Elizabeth was a semifinalist in the 2012 Concert Artist’s Guild Competition, as well as a District Winner in the 2012 Metropolitan Opera Council Auditions. She enjoys collaborating with emerging composers, and her song repertoire reflects her interest in post-1900 music, with works by Rorem, Floyd, Schoenberg, Ives and more.

Edward Tolve – Advisory Board Member: Edward is an actor, singer, dancer, tap dancer, tap teacher, and audio and lighting engineer. Performance credits include: Off Broadway: Funny Face, Sayonara. Regional: Godspeed Opera House, Reagle Theatre, Cape Rep, Northern Stage, Palace Theatre, Underground Railway and Nora Theatre. Featured tap dancer for Sleep No More’s Follies. Training: Boston Conservatory and LaGuardia Arts. Engineer at Audio Incorporated for 8 years.
