ITE Presents “Origin Story”

Created and performed by Bill DeMeritt and directed by Elia Monte-Brown.

Produced by ITE and Old Sound Room.

Bill DeMeritt is an orphan, an actor, a putz and maybe even a superhero. Now he makes his playwriting debut with Origin Story, an expansive theatrical memoir that explores how we incorporate loss and weave the seemingly discordant elements of life into a harmonious glow.

Old Sound Room’s latest production is a crowded stage of one in which Bill (Billy, William) tours us through space and time, painting a self portrait through the lens of the motley crew who shaped him into the man he is today.

2015 Year-end Fundraiser

During this season of giving we are asking for your support of our 2016 Artist Fund. The 2016 Artist Fund provides assistance for our current grant offerings. The money raised from this appeal helps us directly support NYC-based artists through our new and existing initiatives.

During the 2014-15 year ITE showcased artists in the fields of dance, music, theater and film; made grants for 4 organizations, presented 46 different groups, supported 150 individual artists and reached over 5000 audience members.

We hope you will join us in supporting ITE’s work and mission with a financial contribution!
